Computational Imaging and Photography
This course, taught by Ramesh Raskar, on Computational Imaging, Photography and Video, introduced the latest computational methods in digital imaging that overcome the traditional limitations of a camera and enable novel imaging applications. The course provided a practical guide to topics in image capture and manipulation methods for generating compelling pictures for computer graphics and for extracting scene properties for computer vision, with several examples.
As part of the coursework for this project, we designed web pages where we implemented a bilateral filter , created high depth-of-focus images, made use of computational lighting and implemented a programmable field of focus system. We also completed a final project of our choosing.
