About Sandy

Hurricane Sandy came and went through New Jersey and affected New York significantly as well. We’re fine, and Columbia University has resumed both classes and work. The subways are shut down for the time being, and anything lower than 39th Street doesn’t have electricity (some spots do, but for the most part it’s dark at night over there).

If you can help, please volunteer your time and help out. Recovers.org is a great site that is coordinating efforts for helping business and individuals in the Lower East Side who were affected by Sandy. Also any donation, blood or financial, would be greatly appreciated. (I recommend the Red Cross, which you can donate to here or you can donate to NYC directly through the Mayor here. Live in or near NJ/NY/CT and other affected areas and can help? Find out how here.
